The St. John's Co-Cathedral is a unique building. Considered the most Baroque temple in the world due to its decoration from floor to ceiling, it is an extravaganza of art, luxury, and beauty. Inside, it houses two works by one of the greatest and most elusive artists of all time: Caravaggio. Visit it with us to ensure you don't miss a thing and make use of the special fast-track entry for groups with an official guide. Please remember that although this is a free tour, the entrance fee to the temple is 15 euros per person. Once inside, our goal will be to help you appreciate the small details and the masterpieces in this gigantic building full of art and opulence, without overlooking the "secret messages" hidden in its walls, paintings, and artworks, in one of the countries where "The Da Vinci Code", with Tom Hanks, was filmed. After the visit, you can stay in the co-cathedral if you wish, to enjoy everything at a slower pace and take thousands of photos. Logically, in the co-cathedral, we will talk a lot about art, artists, and their legacy. The Mannerist style, in which the conventual church, today's co-cathedral, was built. Its subsequent transformation into Baroque. Artists, like Mattia Preti or Mazzuoli, who left their marks in the co-cathedral and their main works. Curiosities, secrets, and some gossip, as we will visit the eternal resting place of some of the city's most notable characters. The floor (described as the most beautiful in the world), its sculptures, mausoleums... And of course, we will talk about Caravaggio while appreciating two of his paintings: "St. Jerome Writing" and "The Beheading of St. John the Baptist", the latter considered by many as his masterpiece, and without a doubt, an exceptional piece from the artist.
